Soldering robot Vario
The basic cell VARIO is the basic module of a standardized modular system and thus a variable platform for different processes. Up to 4 automatic stations can
be integrated in one module.
The modular design allows not only to use the Vario soldering robot as an inline or stand-allone station, but also to use different component feeders such
as inline transfer belts, exchangeable cassettes or the rotary indexing table.
Depending on the customer-specific application, these stations are configured from 15 different tools and 8 axis systems, each with 3 speed ranges. The
control is done with ATN's own programming system WinControl.
Tools

In the Lightbeam soldering system, IR light is focused by means of convergence mirrors and optics. Absorption of this heat radiation produces the
temperature required at the solder joint, the energy input of which can be precisely controlled. This makes light soldering particularly suitable for
"selective reflow soldering".

ATN also offers a choice of other soldering processes to solve a wide variety of requirements: Contacts mounted in plastic housings are often
soldered with the automated soldering iron and solder wire. With microflame and induction soldering, ATN offers two non-contact soldering
processes, which are characterized above all by uniform heating, especially on solid components.
Ultra-fine and micro soldering is realized with the focused beam of a high-power diode laser.

- For the realization of automatic processes in electronics manufacturing around selective soldering, a number of additional tools are available.
- For the Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) of solder joints we cooperate with our partner pi4_robotics.
Kinematics
- Linear axes with own control/power unit
- Stepper motor drive
- Integrated position control ± 0.02 mm
- 4 axis types
- 3 speed classes
- Lengths from 50 mm -1000 mm
- Rotary axes
- Pneumatic Z-stroke
Feeding systems
The modular design allows different types of component feeding such as SNEMA standard or workpiece carrier systems. For off-line operation, interchangeable
cassette system or rotary indexing table are also possible.

WinControl
The WinControl control represents the connecting element between the user and the soldering robot. Work processes can be created, saved, modified, executed
and monitored. Since WinControl is a Windows program, the user who is familiar with this operating system will find his way around very quickly.
Advantages of the modular system:
- Application of the optimal process in each case
- Use of proven standard components
- Uniform control concept
- Flexibility regarding expansion and adaptation to new products
- High process reliability and availability
- Minimal costs
- High investment security
