Microjoining technology

Thermode systems and resistance welding

Laboratory workstations and machines

AVIO and ATN work hand in hand in the implementation. AVIO supplies the system components including accessories. ATN puts together the respective configuration and advises customers on the integration, e.g. for automation companies on the integration of the components as well as on commissioning. If the technology is new to the respective customer, it is recommended to start with a laboratory setup. The laboratory system is fully configured, including thermode, and ready to switch on. This means that further process evaluations can be carried out in parallel with the construction of the corresponding production machines. When the automated system is completed the components can be transferred from the laboratory system to the automated plant.

Production machines are realised on the basis of ATN standard machines.

The Micro-C and Micro-TT table machines are designed for production-oriented implementation of processes in which only one position is machined. With the Micro-C station, the operator places the workpiece to be machined on the insert provided with a and pushes the insert with the part into the machine. This is the start signal for the process. The slide-in unit is locked, the thermode is lowered onto the workpiece and heated up. When the process is finished, the thermode is raised and the slide-in unit is released again. The operator can remove the finished workpiece and insert a new one. The mode of operation of the Micro-TT station is similar. However, the turntable has two receptacles. While the workpiece is being machined in one holder, the part can be removed from the other holder. the part can be removed from the other holder and a new part can be inserted.

The Economic A400-T table robot can machine several positions in one set-up. in one clamping. With the three XYZ axes, a space of 400x300x140mm can be machined. Optionally, a rotary axis is also possible. The control takes place via an industrial PC with a Windows-based operating system WinControl. The individual positions and commands are entered into a programme table, which resembles an Excel sheet. This makes programming simple and intuitive. Furthermore, there are numerous tried and tested features such as observation and programming camera facilitate programming or scanners for traceability secure the production process. With the VARIO handling station, an inline system is also available. This is adapted to the respective project-specific requirements and interfaces.

With service centres in Berlin and Pforzheim, ATN not only supports existing plants and projects, but also assists potential customers with process planning and evaluation at the beginning of a project. process planning and evaluation at the beginning of a project. In the application laboratory in Berlin, samples are inspected and possible tool configurations are and possible tool configurations are assessed for feasibility on the basis of tests. More extensive test series for process evaluation are also possible. Difficult tasks are discussed with AVIO so that the decades of experience of the AVIO technicians can be used to solve the current task.
