Induction soldering for edge interconnection in solar manufacturing

With the induction soldering systems from ATN (patented), the solder joint is heated without contact using a current-carrying inductor. With the insulating pressure plate, pressure or force can be applied to the soldered joint without directly influencing the soldering process. until the solder joint has cooled down sufficiently after completion of the soldering process. Since there is no direct contact between the solder joint and the inductor, the inductor is not subject to wear and tear. the inductor is not subject to wear or contamination.

The induction soldering heads can be easily integrated into a robot station due to the standardised interfaces. The scalability is achieved with single, double or triple tools.

Automatic soldering station X-BUS

For contacting the junction box, the cross-connectors are usually bent into L-angles. There are two options here. "Bend yourself" or buy "bent and ready-made connectors". When purchasing, the material supplier cuts and bends the cross-connectors on a fully automatic machine. This enables him to achieve a good quality. The disadvantage, however, is the higher costs and, what is much more decisive, the higher logistical effort. This is reflected in longer delivery times, higher expenses for packaging, shipping and storage and losses due to bending of the already pre-bent bulky L-connectors.
