Laser soldering

Laser
The beam source for laser soldering is a 30W/50W diode laser with direct beam guidance, i.e. the beam is generated and shaped in the laser head. and beam shaping. The optics focus the laser beam precisely on the solder joint. Depending on the equipment, pilot lasers, a a monitor diode, a CCD camera and a pyrometer are coupled into the beam path. The optics focus the laser beam onto an area of of 0.6x0.4mm at a working distance of 100 mm. The laser control unit contains the power supply unit for the laser head and enables the communication to the laser head and the cooling (closed water circuit). Optionally, the solder feed can also be solder wire. The compact solder wire feeder Mosquito ensures precise and reproducible feeding of the solder wire from standard solder reels. DC motor control with encoder measuring system and solder limit switches ensure monitoring of the solder wire feed in the process.
