A strongly bundled and coherent light of the same wavelength and with a high energy density is produced by the laser. Of the various laser types (CO2, Nd:YAG or diode lasers), diode lasers are particularly suitable for soldering. On the one hand, they have the better absorption behavior with a wavelength between 800-1000 nm, and on the other hand, the power of the lasers can be adjusted much better via the applied voltage.
Laser soldering is particularly suitable for ultra-fine solder joints and for narrow interfering contours.
